Primitive nature of Iceland

Iceland Primordial, unique and constantly evolving. Probably because the country has remained uninhabited for a long time, a person here does not feel sovereign, lost in the splendor of fjords, waterfalls, geysers, glaciers, volcanoes and even icebergs.

Perhaps, only in Reykjavik, incomprehensibly, is the inconsistency combined: the provinciality of a small town and the brilliance of the capital of a European state. Clubs and restaurants work here 24 hours a day, international festivals gather thousands of people every year.

What is worth visiting in the mysterious northern country, what to visit? The largest glacier occupies almost 10% of the territory of the country Vatnayokudl. The hot springs of Khveragerdi, where they are, have a garden in their greenhouses that bears fruit with exotic fruits. Domaine de Lagar Lagarrahne is a favorite spot for hikers. Nearby are the most popular thermal springs. The Thingvellir valley is full of caves, waterfalls, canyons, events, celebrations, guest gatherings and residents of Iceland.

You can watch beautiful and graceful sea whales from almost anywhere on the coast of the island, taking binoculars, or just with the naked eye. To admire them more closely, you can go to the sea on pleasure boats.

In Iceland’s national park, Skaftafel’s main attraction is a molten glacier, right next to a waterfall and Grimsvetn volcano, which was last announced in 1998.

Iceland’s most famous, most popular and iconic is the Blue Lagoon. Temperature of 40 degrees, flat bottom, maximum depth of 1.5 meters – ideal conditions for swimming and relaxing. About one third of the lagoon’s water is composed of fresh water and two-thirds of the seawater. Its healing properties are unique, especially in people with skin diseases. The white clay at the bottom of the lagoon is suitable for cosmetic masks. If you are very lucky, you can hear here the soloists song of the Icelandic opera, the station makes such a generous gift to its guests.

Icelandic dishes are mainly represented by a variety of cooked and varied fish and lamb. This exotic bread cooked in a land heated by volcanoes. The dough left in the container in such “oven” for a day, the next day becomes the finished product.
